Kajabi email marketing like no other

Email marketing is a direct line to your customer. It’s a way to personalize communication and find ways to target users based on their behavior. But what if you don’t have the technology to support that? I still have an open store on Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) as a way to diversify my income. However, TPT does not give you access to data the way Kajabi does. Here are all the ways Kajabi is a powerful email marketing tool.

Kajabi has bundled resources in one

Before I dive too deep, let’s cover what’s included in Kajabi. Kajabi is everything you need to monetize your ideas with technology you would pay in other platforms, rolled into one. As the creator economy shifts, one of the smartest decisions you can do for your business is streamline your tech stack. When you purchase Kajabi, you receive:

Receive subject line validation

A compelling subject line gets people to read your email marketing messages. When building your emails, Kajabi will directly offer you suggestions to tweak your subject line for maximum open rate.

Auto-send ‘drip campaigns’ after a user PURCHASES a product

You want to always nurture your audience with your content in order to eventually sell them more products. One key feature I love to utilize is to send users a series of emails about the topics they purchased after purchasing a product relevant to that offer.

For example, if a user purchases my Blogging Boost Playbook, I send them the product and then a few days later, I send those buyers an email with free blog posts I’ve written about blogging. I set this up once, and then every time someone purchases the email, they are automatically added to that drip campaign.

With TPT, they send your competitor’s resources to your buyer as well as yours. This is why diversifying where you sell is so important. When they purchase directly from you, you have their information in order to target them with your specific content.

Auto-send ‘drip campaigns’ after they DOWNLOAD a free product

The same logic mentioned above can be used for free products as well, which in turn can mimic a ‘sales funnel’. When someone downloads a free download of mine, such as these free Call to Actions, the user will get the download, and then a series of emails following the download of a period of a couple of weeks. I will send them resources about email marketing, and then try and sell them my email marketing course. This type of customization is how I’ve been able to sell higher ticket items and increase my yearly revenue.

Use tags to organize your contacts

Tags allow you to manage who is in your massive email list. By leveraging tags, you can create emails based on specific behaviors. For example, when a user clicks a specific link in an email, fills out a specific form for a download, or purchases a product. This is all data you have to customize the way you talk to the user.

An example to leverage this data is, say you create a new product about ‘Reading’. You can send a custom email to every user with a tag related to ‘reading’, and write much more personal to them, versus a massive email to everyone. You’re able to create a highly personalized email in addition to that massive email.

Create custom email segments for personalization

Since every system works together, you can segment (or filter) your email contacts based on behavior. Segmenting your contacts is a method of dividing your list into small groups based on similar attributes (e.g., subscription status).

Segmenting is not only a method of efficiently managing your list but can also be used as a powerful marketing technique. Organizing your list in custom segments can give you insight to personalize your marketing and improve your ability to communicate with different groups of your contacts.

For example: I have a segment for every user that has shown interest in Teacher Marketing Academy (but hasn’t purchased), and has been actively reading my emails within 90 days. I call these ‘hot leads’, so they way I talk to them in an email is much more personal.

You can create hundreds of different segments which creates a more focused experience to really make sure you’re sending the right emails to the people that want to read them.

Add countdowns to drive urgency

One of my favorite ways to drive FOMO is to promote something within a timeframe and add a countdown to the email. Countdown timers are a great way to make your page visitors aware of an Event and create a sense of urgency around a specific date.

Sell more through abandoned cart emails

Have you ever browed products online and moved on, only to find communication from that brand that ‘you forgot to check out’? Did you know according to Baymard Institute, more than 69% of shopping carts are abandoned on average? That’s nearly 7 out of 10 carts! This powerful marketing tactic is built into Kajabi so that you can drive sales.

Cart Abandonment Emails allow you to automatically send a follow-up email after a potential customer fills out a form upon checkout but doesn’t complete their purchase. Learn to activate and customize the Cart Abandonment Email.

This type of flexibility is an automation that you set up once, and then works for you while you do other things.
