I’ve written a few blog posts about the importance of repurposing teacherpreneur content and then realized, I never started from the beginning to explain what repurposing teacherpreneur content means. To learn more about this content marketing tactic to get the most bang for your buck, keep reading.
What does repurposing content mean?
Repurposing teacherpreneur content is a way to use your previous content and revitalize it into other forms of media for the same channel (just in a different format) OR a completely different channel. This is beneficial because it….
- Strengthens brand voice and your message
- Improves SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
- Helps you achieve multiple goals

I would not continue to survive Nearpod if I did not repurpose the content that I was creating for other channels, it saves my sanity, gives me a north star and helps me plan and create faster – and it’s all with a purpose that funnels up to business goals.
Is repurposing teacherpreneur content helpful for my business?
Repurposing teacherpreneur content involves adding to or revising your content to add more value. Repurposing content comes in many forms. As I’m talking about this, I want you to write down all the channels that are your main focus of business. There are so many ways to cross-pollinate the work you’re already doing.
This allows you to reach people you missed the first time around because *gasp* not everyone notices your content the first time. The best part is that repurposing will save you time because you don’t need to write new content from scratch.
How do I decide what content to recycle?
Always start with clear goals in mind. Why are you repurposing your content? It shouldn’t just be because I’m telling you to. By solidifying your goals prior, you know what content type you should recycle so that it’s strengthening the message across your channels. Think about it from a value perspective.

Okay, back to the goods. Here’s ideas to help with repurposing teacherpreneur content since you might still be curious what to recycle.
1. Find evergreen content
It makes sense when just starting out with this project, to repurpose content that is evergreen for any time of year. This is because it’s going to take you a bit longer in the beginning to find your repurposing groove. If you pick a piece of content that is time sensitive, you will be chasing the clock from the moment you start and then have little time to market it across your channels. Save the headache and start with content applicable year-round first.
2. Repurpose high-performing content
If a piece of content did really well on one channel then chances are great that it will perform well for you on a different channel. This is a great ‘quick win’ to learning how to repurpose. Here’s an example below. I took a YouTube video that performed mehhh, because I have not been posting consistently on my channel (priorities change). I then took a tiny bit of of the video content and turned it into an Instagram post and BAM, instant engagement without having to think of a new idea!
Got ideas? Now let’s develop your content
Now it’s time to develop your content. It’s great to have all of these grand ideas, but if you’re not executing on them, you’re just waisting your precious time planning for zero results. After deciding on the specific content, choose a couple tactics that’s best for you to repurpose your content and drive your personal goals. Here are some ideas in the next section.
Tactics to repurpose teacherpreneur content
Republish your existing content – This is in the form of redirecting content and republishing such as being a guest blogger on another website or writing guest articles. For example, you’re not creating new thoughts and ideas from scratch, just taking the content from one channel to another.
Record your existing content – Turn past content into webinars, podcasts, YouTube videos, or online courses
Visualize your existing content – Re-create content into infographics, quote graphics, or media snippets. The pictures below is an example of how I took my YouTube content, Teacher blog ideas, and turned it into a Blog post and then an infographic for my Instagram account.
Group your existing content – Turn similar pieces of content into thematic campaigns, an email series, or create an e-book since you have enough content to fill it.
