Hello Hello!
I remember weeks ago freaking out about school approaching, yet here I am one week in excited to share my classroom! My first week was fantastic and my kids are absolute sweethearts! I am so excited for what this year has in store for my room!
Let me take you on a little tour! 🙂
A lot of corresponding class decor for this set up can be found {HERE}
When you walk in and look immediately to the right, the kids are asked to make their lunch choice.
I did my lunch choice a bit different last year, where I had a dry erase area that listed the choices. This year, I printed out the menu and placed on the door. The kids read it, then move their numbered popsicle stick to the appropriate magnetic bin.

I WON the missing part bin from another seller!
(If anybody recognizes this can you send me an email so I can give credit!)
In order for my kids to use the restroom they must scan a QR code to sign out.
To learn more about that click {HERE}
If you look to the right when you walk in, you will find my library passes, kindness links, sharpeners, and mailboxes.
My school participates in Rachel’s challenge so I keep a bin for blank links and completed links.
The electric sharpener is dead, but my teacher hears LOVES this Carl5 sharpener!
To see the sharpener up close click {HERE}
I whipped up these library passes and place them on lanyards for easy transportation.

I also customize school passes! Customization can have your name on the passes, you can choose the color scheme,
and get as many passes as you would like! For example: Bathroom pass, library pass, nurse pass, locker pass, teacher pass, water fountain pass, etc!

This lovely blank canvas will eventually be filled with group made anchor charts!
I have table caddies for each group but I like to keep them off the desks unless we need them.
Here is a little nook that houses my Class Jobs chart and my Turn in Box

(There’s a freebie in that post FYI)
Here is a close up of my class jobs chart.
There is velcro behind the number so I can easily change out!
This is my Whole Brain Teaching Super Improver Wall.
I teach 3rd grade and wanted something I could keep my kids accountable for showing their work on math quizzes/tests and citing text evidence for reading.
Every time my kids show all their work in Math or find text evidence on all reading questions, they can put a sticker on the star and will move up the levels as they fill up the card!
I will pay them for moving up a level so they can spend in our class store.
Click {HERE} to download the wall for free!

The bookshelf houses miscellaneous things such as notebook paper, writing paper, grid paper, my multiplication quizzes and certificates, and privacy folders.

The pencil at the top is a freebie from The Teacher Wife

The pencil at the bottom {will eventually have clothespins} is for my kids writing process.
They place their clothespins so I can see where they are on the the required pieces.

To the left of my Super Improver Wall is another anchor chart area.
I attach a magnetic curtain rod (Target) to the wall along with binder rings.
Now I can attach the papers the rods and flip through as I need to!
Here is the front of the room.
Our current read aloud is: Fish in a Tree
Here is where I house all my word work activities!
Having a hub for word work really helps efficiency and transition to this center since the kids have a reliable area.

I use sitspots for the kiddos!

I am OBSESSED with my classroom library!
I think it’s a good thing that it’s so big it requires 3 pictures!
My Theme board is a new addition this year!
I made cards for the main themes in literature and placed them on the board.
As we read books throughout the year, we will generate a theme for the book and place in the appropriate spot.
I am using these dry erase sentence strips for the board!
They are AMAZING and I LOVE that I can re-use them!
As a class, we will write out a more detailed theme since a them is more than just one word.
We have been writing them on sticky notes and will place next to the book!
To use this theme board in your own class…

This board is what I use to organize my reading centers and work with small groups!

I am at a 1:1 iPad school so the wooden blocks will house 22 iPads!
I will get them the 2nd week of September! 🙂

,My school uses CHAMPS for our classroom management.
I did NOT have the wall space to place all those anchor charts around the room nor did I have the time to constantly switch out those tiny cards.
Therefore, I utilize this clip chart and just quickly move the clothespins!
Snag the clip chart {HERE}
& in the middle of the room is where I keep my teacher table for small groups!
Guided reading materials are housed in the yellow rolly drawers underneath the table!
WHEW!
If you managed to push through to the end of this post, THANK-YOU!
I hope you were able to snag some ideas that can benefit your own classroom!
