Viva Las Vegas!

Hey friends! I have been back in Texas for one full day and my mind is still in overdrive. My heart is so full with the amazing connections I made these past few days from my blogging friends!
If you ever meet me, or you can tell by my ‘peppy’ blog posts, my name fits me perfectly. I love crowds and I love meeting new people. I felt in my element since I was in a crowded room meeting people that I had so much in common with.
Have you read IheardEdu’s blog? She is the absolute sweetest woman ever. I had the joy of eating lunch with her one day.
I was OOBER excited to met Deb Hanson. She is an intelligent TPTer that has saved my classroom more times than she’ll ever know. It was amazing to be able to finally squeeze her and thank her for all her hard work.
I love my iTeach3rd ladies! They are so sweet and their passion for learning is phenomenal! I am so lucky to collaborate with them.
I especially loved connectingwith more Texas Gals like Destiny (Terrific Teaching and Learning), Katie (Mrs. Decatur’s Gators), Sarah from YeeHaw Teaching in Texas (FINALLY!), Alexis (Mrs. Hudgens Hears a Who), Sandy (ELA Everyday), and my sweet sweet friend MEEgan (I Teach What’s Your Superpower).
I have spend countless hours chatting away with Ashley (Teach Create Motivate), Jen (Sparkling in 2nd), and Emily (Third in Hollywood). It was surreal to finally see them from in FRONT of a computer screen. It was as if we’ve been friends forever…& I am certain it will stay that way 🙂
Jillian Starr, I think we were best friends in another life and finally found each other again in this one.  I laughed so had with this girl, and she better get ready for me to blow up her phone because Zesty isn’t going to let another year go by without chatting with her! 🙂
I connected with the person that created the best library organizational tool, Molly (Lessons with Laughter), smart Catherine (The Brown Bag Teacher), Fashion-Forward Angeliah that I just instantly connected with, and adorable Sandy (Soaring 2nd). I have chatted with Sandy in the past and she is just as fantastic IRL! I can’t wait to read her future journey as an IT!
There are so many more people in this picture but I am writing this blog post at 2:15 am and it’s due at 6am. Yes, I am human and wait till the last minute for some things…whoops?
My sweet boyfriend joined me on the trip. He was a trooper and came even though he had tons of film to break down. We did the “High Roller Coaster” and I recommend it to anyone visiting Vegas.
We saw Criss Angel the Magician and yes, I am a believer 😉
I AM STILL ON EDGE FROM CIRQUE DU SOLEIL!!! We sat third row in the very center for the “O” show, and I am still replaying images in my head. It was an amazing way to end my time in Vegas.
Oh, and yes, Michael took that picture of me without my knowledge. I totally underestimate the amount of walking on The Strip!
Vegas was beneficial for me because I was finally able to put faces to social media accounts. I have made friends with so many wonderful women. I know these friendships will regardless of the distance.
It is absolutely amazing how the “TPT Way” brings so many people together.
This conference has certainly pumped me up for my store. We were asked to search for our niche. For the longest time I wasn’t sure if I was pushing my niche appropriately. I think of myself as an educational technologist, since I’m 1:1 iPad and blog mostly about integrating technology into lessons.  I need to search for more ways to reach out as an ET, and I have a few ideas up my sleeve.
I have already revamped some VERY OLD blog posts with new graphics and new tips and tricks I learned while at the conference.
I am using the amazing Erin Cobb’s teacher planner to plan out my weeks. The types of comments that Erin said during her session were so inspiring that I feel I could run on Erin’s words and it would be enough to fuel me for the year. Her combined with all the other amazing presenters has sparked a fire under me and I can’t want to unfold my new plan with you all.
Until next time, friends!

I'm sorry I missed you there! You were always surrounded!! LOL 🙂 We have so many awesome TX blogger friends. I too was posting at 2am because I was on info overload (and let's be honest…west coast time). Is your BF a video coord? My brother was one for Oklahoma State, but now he will be coaching at Langston Univ. So fun to read your recap. Happy Week 🙂
