Customize your Erin Condren to fit YOUR lifestyle

Hello Hello Friends!
Last Summer I took the plunge and purchased my very own Erin Condren. Pictures of planners were flooding my instagram feed and I’m a sucker for pretty colors and all things organization (aren’t we all?)
This little (or BIG because it was the 18 month) baby came in the mail and I was super excited! I saw all the #planneraddict & #erincondren ideas on instagram and It was summer and I was naive.
Well, needless to say…my planner collected dust.
I had 3 different planners. A lesson planning planner, the life panner,
and a TPT/Blogging planner.
How ridiculous is that?
I needed a way to house my dates into one and HELLO—the LIFE PLANNER is just that!
One of my sweet bloggy friend, Melissa from More Time to Teach said she purchased her own sticker paper (pic on right). She even created a template customized with her own labels!
My sweet friend who is the amazing librarian at our school surprised me with these labels (pic on left).
I decided I WAS going to use my planner and fuse everything into one.
I opened up PowerPoint and created my own labels. I made them the exact same size as the mini boxes that said ‘morning, day, and night’. My life needs categories with all the project I take on. My planner needed to change.
I changed my categories to ‘personal, work, and blog’. Now my dates can coexist in one hub. I can plan blogging posts around my crazy work schedule so I’m not overwhelmed.
Look at my ‘weekend’ slots. The top slots are for when I have plans to join society (this mean I have to attend an event that ACTUALLY requires pants and fuzzy socks are frowned upon). I created a TPT to do list. Any TPT ideas and products I want to tackle that week, I will post in those two boxes.
My last To do list will just be a smorgasbord of what I need.
Here is another close up of my organized planner.
NOW, I have my life planner, I use specific planning sheets to plan my lesson cycles, and I only use blogging pages to keep up with product planning pages and giveaway names. It is SO much easier and LESS WORK on my part!

Amber, let me first say I big puffy heart love your blog. This ideas is perfect! I was curious how you got the colors just right? I just purchased a Plum Paper life planner (very similar to EC…but a much more hubby approved price). I want to make it work for me the way you did, but I'm a bit nervous about color matching, and would love any tips or suggestions you have.
